Verification for Facebook pages and profiles
Meta applies the same notability logic across its platforms, but a Page and a personal profile are judged on different evidence. We prepare the right one.
How do you get a Facebook Page verified?
Facebook verification is requested through Meta’s verification form or Page settings, and is granted to authentic, complete and notable Pages and profiles — notability being measured by coverage in independent news sources rather than by followers or ad spend. Meta Verified for business is a separate paid subscription that does not require notability.
Ad spend has no bearing on verification. Plenty of Pages spending heavily on Meta ads are declined, because the review is about public notability rather than commercial relationship.
What a Facebook reviewer looks for
- Independent press coverage of the business or person, not press releases
- A complete Page: profile and cover image, about section, contact details
- A matching, consistent identity on the organisation’s official website
- Public records confirming the entity exists — registration, licensing
- Recent activity rather than a dormant Page
- No unresolved policy issues on the Page or the admin accounts
How we run a Facebook case
- 1
Decide Page or profile
They are judged on different evidence. A business verified as a Page is a different application from a founder verified personally.
- 2
Eligibility review
Coverage, public records, Page completeness and admin account health, scored against the criteria actually applied.
- 3
Fix the obvious gaps
An incomplete about section or a mismatched website is a common and avoidable decline. These get fixed before anything is submitted.
- 4
Submit with the dossier
The application goes in with independent references attached rather than as a bare request.
- 5
Outcome
A screenshot of the badge is the proof and releases the balance.
The specifics
- Applies to
- Facebook Pages and personal profiles
- Follower minimum
- None published; notability is the test
- Typical timeline
- 3 to 10 weeks including Meta’s review
- Counts as delivered
- The badge is visible on the Page or profile, evidenced by a screenshot
What we will not claim
- The platform makes the final decision. We prepare and submit the strongest honest case; nobody outside the platform can grant a badge, and anyone claiming an inside contact is lying to you.
- Spending on Meta ads will not buy a badge, and we will not suggest it as a route.
- A Page with no independent coverage is not a candidate yet, and we will say so rather than take the fee.
