The YouTube checkmark, and the threshold behind it
YouTube is the most mechanical of the platforms: below 100,000 subscribers an application is refused without review. Above it, the case still has to be made.
How do you get verified on YouTube?
A YouTube channel can apply for verification once it reaches 100,000 subscribers, through YouTube Studio under Settings, Channel, Feature eligibility. YouTube then checks that the channel is authentic and represents the real creator, brand or entity it claims to be. Below 100,000 subscribers the application is not reviewed, and the badge can be removed if a channel changes its name.
Renaming a verified channel can remove the badge, because verification is tied to the name that was verified. Plan a rebrand around that rather than discovering it afterwards.
What YouTube checks once you are eligible
- At least 100,000 subscribers — applied strictly
- The channel genuinely represents the creator or brand it claims to
- Complete channel: banner, description, links, consistent naming
- No active Community Guidelines strikes
- A public presence elsewhere confirming the same identity
How we run a YouTube case
- 1
Threshold check
If the channel is under 100,000 subscribers we decline the order. An application below the line is refused without a human reading it.
- 2
Channel audit
Strikes, naming consistency, completeness and cross-platform identity — the avoidable reasons an eligible channel gets declined.
- 3
Evidence package
Independent coverage and public references assembled to support the authenticity claim.
- 4
Submit
The request goes in through YouTube Studio with the supporting case attached.
- 5
Outcome
A screenshot of the badge on the channel is the proof.
The specifics
- Subscriber threshold
- 100,000, applied mechanically
- Where it is requested
- YouTube Studio → Settings → Channel → Feature eligibility
- Badge persistence
- Can be lost on a channel rename
- Typical timeline
- 2 to 8 weeks including YouTube’s review
What we will not claim
- We will not take an order for a channel under 100,000 subscribers. The application is refused automatically, so selling it would be selling a refund.
- The platform makes the final decision. We prepare and submit the strongest honest case; nobody outside the platform can grant a badge, and anyone claiming an inside contact is lying to you.
- Buying subscribers to cross the threshold is both detectable and self-defeating, and we will not arrange it.
