Indeed

Remove an Indeed company review

Indeed sits beside Glassdoor in every candidate’s research, and its guidelines are narrower in some places and wider in others. The grounds are not interchangeable.

How do you remove a review from Indeed?

Indeed removes company reviews that breach its guidelines — naming individuals, profanity or abusive language, confidential information, content unrelated to working at the company, or reviews from people who never worked there. Reviews are reported from the employer dashboard or through Indeed support. Indeed does not remove reviews for being negative, and it does not reveal reviewer identities.

Grounds Indeed acts on

  • A named individual rather than a role
  • Profanity, abuse, threats or discriminatory language
  • Confidential or proprietary information
  • Content that is not about working at the company
  • A reviewer with no employment history at the company
  • Spam, promotional content or a duplicate submission

How an Indeed case runs

  1. 1

    Assessment

Guideline-by-guideline, with the no-grounds reviews named before you pay for anything.

  2. 2

    Evidence

Employment records, or the specific confidential material at issue.

  3. 3

    Report

From the employer dashboard, citing the guideline rather than the grievance.

  4. 4

    Escalation

A declined report goes to Indeed support with the record restated.

  5. 5

    Proof

A screenshot of the company profile without the review.

What we will not claim

  • An honest account of working somewhere is not removable, and we will not sell an attempt at one.
  • We will not attempt to identify a reviewer or assist with retaliation.
  • We do not post fake positive reviews to bury a real one. Every platform detects it, the penalty is worse than the review was, and a business caught doing it loses the profile rather than the review.
  • The platform decides. We document the breach and escalate it; nobody outside the platform can delete a review, and anyone claiming an inside contact is lying to you.
