Get your personal details out of search results
This is the most winnable category of removal, because Google has a published policy that applies everywhere rather than only in Europe.
How do you remove your personal information from Google?
Google’s "results about you" and personal information removal policies let anyone request removal of search results containing their home address, phone number, email address, government identification numbers, bank or card numbers, handwritten signature, confidential login credentials, or personal medical records. The request is filed through Google’s removal form and applies worldwide, independently of the European right to be forgotten. Explicit or intimate imagery published without consent is handled under a separate and faster policy.
Doxxing content — personal details published with apparent intent to harm — is treated as a priority category, and those requests tend to move in days rather than weeks.
Categories Google removes worldwide
- Home address, phone number or personal email address
- Government identification numbers — national ID, passport, tax number
- Bank account or payment card numbers
- Handwritten signatures and confidential login credentials
- Personal medical records
- Non-consensual explicit imagery, under an expedited policy
- Content from a site that requires payment to remove it — exploitative removal
How a personal information case runs
- 1
Exposure audit
We find every URL carrying the data, not only the one you noticed. Data broker sites replicate aggressively and partial removal leaves the problem intact.
- 2
Categorise
Each URL is matched to the policy category that fits it, because the category determines the form and the speed.
- 3
File
Requests go in per URL with the data identified precisely enough for a reviewer to confirm without hunting.
- 4
Source removal in parallel
Data broker sites usually have an opt-out. We use it, because that removes the data rather than hiding one route to it.
- 5
Proof and monitoring
Dated screenshots per URL, then re-checks across the monitoring window as brokers re-import.
The specifics
- Priced
- Per URL, with a bundle rate for broker sweeps
- Jurisdiction
- Worldwide — this policy is not limited to the EU or UK
- Typical timeline
- 3 days to 4 weeks; doxxing and intimate imagery are expedited
- Counts as delivered
- The URL no longer returns for searches of your name, evidenced by a dated screenshot
What we will not claim
- De-indexing hides a page from search results; it does not delete the page. Where the source can be removed at origin, that is the better outcome and we say so even though it is the cheaper job.
- Information in official public records — company filings, court registers, property registers — is generally not removable from search, and we will tell you that before taking the item.
- Data brokers re-import from the same upstream sources. Removal is a maintained state rather than a one-off event, which is why the monitoring window matters more here than anywhere else.
- Google decides each request on its own facts.
