What Instagram verification actually costs
One badge has a published monthly price. The other has no price at all, because it is not for sale — and conflating the two is how this market makes most of its money.
How much does Instagram verification cost?
Meta Verified, the subscription badge, costs $14.99 per month on web and $19.99 on iOS and Android, with business tiers from $21.99. The legacy blue badge cannot be purchased at any price — it is granted on notability and Meta charges nothing for it. A verification service charges for eligibility assessment, building the notability dossier, and preparing and submitting the application, not for the badge itself.

How you are charged
- When you pay
- Up front, into escrow — the funds are held against the case, not spent
- When we are paid
- Only when an operator posts proof: a live link, a screenshot, or both
- Per item
- An order with several items holds and releases each one separately
- If it fails
- That item is refunded in full. Not a credit, not a retry voucher
- Currency
- Quoted in USD, settled in cryptocurrency
What moves the price of a legacy application
- Existing coverage
- An account with real press behind it needs a dossier assembled, not built. That is the cheap case
- Coverage gap
- Where notability has to be earned first, that is a separate service with its own timeline and cost
- Previous rejections
- A history of declined applications means working out what the gap was before resubmitting
- Number of platforms
- Applying across Instagram, Facebook and others shares the dossier work
What we do not charge for
- The eligibility score. If you are not close, you get the score and the gap, not an invoice.
- Meta Verified. It is $14.99 a month in your own app and we are not going to add a markup to it.
- A second attempt inside the retry window after a decline.
