What is Google News indexing?
Short answer
Whether a publication’s articles are eligible to appear in Google News and the news carousel in search results.
Eligibility is a property of the publication, not of an individual article, and Google can remove it.
A placement on a News-indexed outlet can appear in news results for your brand name, which is often more visible than an ordinary blue link.
