What is Sponsored label?
Also called: Paid post, Partner content, Advertorial
Short answer
A visible disclosure on an article saying it was paid for — shown as "Sponsored", "Paid post", "Partner content" or similar.
Labels range from an unobtrusive byline note to a banner above the headline. Some outlets apply none at all.
The label affects how the piece reads to a human and how it is treated by Wikipedia editors, journalists and anyone assessing notability. An article stamped "Sponsored" is not evidence that someone independent chose to write about you.
Why it matters
This is the field buyers discover after publication, when it is too late. We state it on every outlet page before purchase.
